Our Sketch Artist Guylaine lives in the beautiful country of Canada. As her neighbor to the south I knew that they celebrate Canada Day. I thought it would be great if she could share with those of us in other countries about their experience in Canada when July 1 appears on the calendar. I asked her to also create a layout to share with us. Here are her words and her lovely layout.
To our Canadian friends, have a wonderful birthday!!! Deb♥
"I am a proud Canadian! I love my country and all its beautiful landscapes and people of excellence. Canada was founded the 1st of July 1867 when the British North America Act was passed, uniting Canada as a single country of four provinces. Now Canada is made of 10 provinces and 3 territories and has a population of about 32 millions. Canadians love a good party and they go all out to give Canada an awesome birthday party. Communities across the country organize celebrations, usually outdoor public events, such as parades, carnivals, festivals, barbecues, air and maritime shows, fireworks, and free musical concerts. Family and friends gather together and celebrate the privilege of being Canadian. In honour of Canada Birthday, I am giving away a blog candy. Take a moment to visit my blog, become a follower and leave a simple comment to my "Celebrating Canada" post.On July 1st, join me to wish Canada a very happy birthday!"
