I have found someone (or should I say something?) that loves my Tim Holtz cases as much as I do!!! My cat Jazmin! When I open up my case to use my distress inks, Jaz has decided that the open case is where she should nap! I keep telling my husband that I want to have a little girl that will scrapbook with me . . . well, I guess I got her . . . because this is the closest I am going to get! lol

Ribbon Organization with Silvana

Do you want an easy and super cheap way to organize your ribbons? Well I saw this idea somewhere on the Internet and I thought I would share with you =)
I don't have to much space for my ribbons just a drawer that was getting pretty full and completely chaotic.... so this was an easy solution for me.
With some recycled cardstock from a box of tissues or cereal (rectangular shape 6" x 4 1/2" ) and a Crop-o-dile or a hole puncher you will be able to make this.
Follow the directions in the pic and do as many as you need you can organize by color ( my personal choose) size, kind etc etc .

Part of the fun of scrapbooking is dreaming of a new, sometimes bigger, well-lit, and organized scrap space, at least with a great many people who are accustomed to scrapping from their corner, the dining room table, or the trunk of their car. Is this call recycling or reuprosing? well whatever it is called, LOL, I want to share with you what I did with an old lamp....you know those floor lamps from Ikea that are cover in some kind of texture paper, they look really pretty when they are new, but with kids they don't last long :( .

One day I was about to throw mine in the trash went I said: Hey wait the minute!!! the electrical is fine, the base looks good!!! I only have to replace the paper !!! and that's exactly what I did ....I had this nice rice paper for a while which I was saving for something special but I didn't know what ... until I started this project. I used the whole length of the paper which was perfect because it cover the ligthbulbs. I wrapped the paper around then glued it and to cover the edges (which didn't look great). I used a few pieces of cardstock which I punch with a MS punch to match the rest of my scrap room decorations and voila a brand new floor lamp.

(You can see the old lamp in the picture where my son is playing with bubbles, that's the only pic I found where u can see the whole lamp).

Where Does Jami Lynn Scrap?

AS a long time scrapper, I have been repurposing on and off my pages for a very long time. This month DT member Jami Lynn has brought us a layout about her own personal scrappy space (and don't we all love that!) as well as a few repurposing tips that I am sure you will find helpful. Without further adieu, Here is Jami Lynn...




For a while now I've been wanting to honor my own little scrappy space and create a page about it. I took these photos recently and decided it was time.
Up until a year ago I never even had a place that was designated specifically for my scrapbooking. I would just pull everything out and sit at a table when I wanted to scrap.
As you can imagine though, I eventually accumulated more scrappy stuff than I was able to pull out whenever I wanted to. That's when I decided I needed my own area in which I could keep it all and work on projects all at the same time.
So here it is. It's not much...a folding table, some repurposed UPS & USPS mail boxes that hold my pattern paper, a table top organizer from Making Memories and a homemade one from a $4 lazy-susan I picked up at Wal-Mart.
I'm still trying to figure out the best organizational system for my space & the way I scrap but so far I'm LOVIN' it!



I used one of my favorite techniques on this page too. You see the 'Inspire & Memories' accents? They were both cut out from the same piece of pattern paper and then adhered to a piece of cardboard.
I save cardboard from cereal boxes all the time to use on my pages like this to create my own custom chipboard accents.
It's a cool way to re-purpose something that might otherwise end up in the trash into something useful & adds a personal touch to your LO's at the same time! Give it a try! : ]
