February was a beautful red, pink and white month wasn't it? Did you make the time to create a Valentine for someone? It's not too late. Make today Valentine's Day too :) Here is some inspiration from Jen and Niki_Ray. They decided to channel their inner child and make a heart card while adding groovy flare/ poetry and/or quotes. Let me show you then hoping you create like your inner child and spread the luv to someone today too!

February Sketching
Who doesn't love a good sketch? I think we all use them from time to time and this month Lissa challenged the team to use this sketch meanwhile they had the theme of scrapping Winter with traditional Winter colors. Lissa has a broken finger so she will not have a layout this month.

Meet Pieces And Parts Designer Shannon White! CLOSED
Check out our latest Pieces & Parts Designer Shannon White! I think she did an amazing job with all the pieces and parts of scrappy things I sent to her. Here is a pic of what she received in the mail:
Now let me show you a layout and a card she was able to create using my leftovers :)
Pretty groovy huh? Speaking of groovy I asked Shannon what makes her a groovy chick :) She said this:
Hey Deb!
What makes me a groovy chick?
I've always been into art since I was little, taking art class every year in school and eventually I went to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Multimedia and Web Design. I didn't really develop my hobby of scrapbooking until a little over 3 years ago but ever since I've been in love with it and it's opened doors to other crafts that I enjoy. I would say paper is my favorite material to craft with and I love making gifts and home decor elements for others. I'm fun-loving and easy-going and I love to share my hobby with other people. I am always encouraging others to get into scrapbooking and to stay scrapbooking because it is such a wonderful way to preserve memories that may end up being lost otherwise. I was say I'm a groovy chick because I enjoy making others happy and I love keeping memories alive!
Wanna learn more about Shannon? Please stop by her blog and sign up to see what she is up to! Want to be the next Pieces and Parts Designer? Leave some luv here and I will draw one person randomly and then send you some happy mail too to create with! Good luck!

It's About Time!!!
I thought it was time I spent some 'time' at this blog again this week. What a week it has been. The design team girls for If It's Groovy has made amazing clocks to share with everyone. Wannna see a good reason to look at the clock? OK here ya go!
Lead Altered Art Artist Natalie created both of these:
Tammy has made this:
And hey I made this one awhile back but thought I would show you. That arrow brad got stuck on the second hand and looks kinda funny floating around on there. Maybe it was meant to be?
If you would like to see a GREAT tutorial on how you too can create an altered clock come on over to the NING board and join Natalie and Tammy's Alter Art Group :)
Have a good night, Deb♥

I have Missed Blogging! Let's catch up!
My side of the USA has had some cruddy weather lately. We lost electricity and man o man was it cold! Today we are being hit again. So I am going to try to get some blogging done and see where it takes me from there :)
Welcome to all the new Groovy Friends who have started following If It's Groovy! Hope you are warm and safe wherever you are :)
Did you know I have opened a new NING site to hang out with all of you??? Yep, here is the address:
http://ifitsgroovy.ning.com/
Each one of the DT members has their own group set up with lots of challenges to help you get those scrappy pages finished, projects off the page, a cafe to chill in and a lot more interaction. Check us out!
Thanks to all who came out for our month long birthday bask in January. I hope you were able to enter lots of the challenges that were held by the DT members. We had a lot of fun playing simon Says too! I tried to list as many reminders as possible through the month but when that storm hit that changed everything :( Hoping you use the links to the right to stop by and visit them. Now for my winner:

Browneydgirl you won! Congrats! Please send me your address within 30 days of this post :) as well as permission to list your lo here for others to see.
Ready for the February Challenge?
Think Chinese! I love the color red and I love those little "fortunes" that come in the cookies! It is always so funny to see if they apply to my life even though it is all in fun! The challenge? Make it (whatever you would like to create) red and use a chinese proverb or "fortune" somewhere on your page. If you feel inspired go out to eat Chinese too and tell me all about it! You could take pictures of your favorite Chinese eatery. Read up on the giving of "red envelopes" and pass one along to the cashier! I do this each year on Chinese New Year :)
Here is a slideshow with the layouts created so far by the design team. There will be a prize as always~ Enjoy!
