RIBBON PALOOZA: Kelly
Oh how I LOVE ribbon! In fact, I'm quite the hoarder when it comes to all types of ribbons, even the trims! I am a huge fan of using ribbon in layouts or on altered items. This challenge was a super fun one for me and a very first about me as a child! I have scrapped so many layouts about my boys, dog, hubby, niece and nephews but not one about my younger years. So, I went digging and found this fun one of me back in 1973 on Christmas morning sitting in my brand new Big Wheel that Santa had brought for me. I couldn't have been happier and I still remember wanting to get outside so badly to ride it!
For this layout, I pulled out my Cricut Expression and grabbed a svg file I had saved in SCAL and cut it at 11.5 inches for the loops. Then I dug through some of my doilies and pulled out my Mister Huey's "overdue" mist for the smaller doily. I added some flowers and fussy cut the butterfly giving it's body some bling. I used my banner punch, letter stickers and some tiny orange ribbon to complete the banner. Then it was time to play with ribbon and add to the outside loops. I hope this inspires you to create with ribbon and use up some of your stash too! :)
