Home Away From Home

Kelly! My ♥ is so filled with the story you have given us about the lake house! May there be many many blessings in that beautiful piece of the world :) Deb♥

I wanted to feature a place that we visit many times a year since Mom passed and I know she would have loved it so much. My Dad made the choice to go ahead and build the lake house on the property they bought together in Christmas of 2008 before she left us in March of 2009. It was the best thing he ever did for himself and to share the love of Mom as well. Even though it is almost 4 hours away, we try to get away from the city life as much as school and sports will allow. The lake house has also become the Thanksgiving get away for our extended family as well and there has been no better place to call home away from home than here in God's country! I used the Echo Park For the Record 2 collection and a sketch from Page Maps. I hope this inspires you to scrap about a place you  love! :)

Silvana's Scrap Space

Scrapbooking and organizing go hand in hand don't you think? So often people will say that they have bought something before and then turn around and buy it again. Well sharing where we scrap is just as important I think is sharing what we scrap/ So, today Silvana would like to show us a view of her place. Enjoy!
Deb♥

In my new scrap area I still have a long to-do list, but one of the first things I did was to put some storage space in the wall so I can utilize that space,I need every little space I can get specially for storage since I don't like anything other that the essential things in my desk. I was looking for something cheap, so after some research I decide to go to Home Depot and get some brackets and some white shelves.... but once I got there in the closet section I saw these white stackable organizers for shoes which are just the perfect height for a photo storage box (3 x $5.00 at Michael's) which I was looking to put in the shelf in the first place....so I got 2 ($9.00 each / cheaper than the price for shelves + brakets) and my DH installed for me in the wall I don't like the big triangular brackets but he said that I really need something heavy duty and these kind of brackets since I was putting a lot of boxes probably with heavy things on it =). I have lots of empty gerber baby food containers and after I peel the label and wash then put all my flowers sorter by colors in it (still in my to-do list paint the lids pink or silver with spray paint) I thinks this was a great solution to my flower storage problem =) Well girls I hope any of my ideas to make my scrap area a little more organize and neat have help you ={ and share with us some of your ideas

Hanging in Jeannie's Place

I know we always want to see how other people scrap! Don't we? Here is a glimpse into Jeannie's Place!
Deb♥

This was a project that I really loved doing. I am a person who needs things out in the open when I create. I have tried different methods of orgainizing things and nothing had worked. What I decided to do was to take some plain plastic shoe boxes, put some WOW factor on them and use the MULTITUDES of organizing containers I have to make compartments on the inside of the shoe box.

I have been using this system for awhile, and I really think it is working. I still lose things, I still misplace things, but for the most part I love what I have done. My next step is to make SIGNS on popsicle sticks to show WHERE to put things away. I am constantly forgetting WHERE I put something, so if I had a sign on a container for the scissors, then I would always put my scissors away in that container. So maybe if I get that far, I will ask Groovy Deb to post another picture.

You can see my MARY ENGELBREIT love, loud and clear with this project. My table I even did MARY style, so my boxes, match perfectly, perched on top of the table.
