Scrapbooking Great Grandma

I have been spending time working on my family tree again lately so I thought I would share with you today a lo I made of ym great-grandma :) I never had the chance to know her other than to sadly attend her funeral when I was about 4 years old. As I have been told she lived in one of the nursing homes close to my home, but children were never allowed there. My mom said she would always ask about us (the kids), but never wuld get the chance to see us again. Isn't that sad? Ridiculous too! We should be encouraging the young to be closer to the older generations, if for nothing else to learn how to associate with generations outside of their own. Do you agree?

Well, lucky me to have this picture of my great grandma, Cornelia with her daughter and grandchild. Make sure you are marking pnames and places on your photos so that one day someone who comes across it as I id this one will know who is in that precious photo :)

  2. Your layout is beautiful! I love the layering of such beautiful vintage embellishments, and this photo is a treasure for sure. All children should get to spend time with the great grandparent generation. There is so much love in the stories they tell, it should be required listening. LOL! I was one of the lucky ones. My great grandfather lived with my grandfather and we visited at least once a month, even though (in that day and age) it was a long drive. We never talked much because he spoke German and I didn't, but I remember his lap. My great grandmother lived there too, but died when I was 2 or 3 and I don't remember her.
