Hand-Cut Words: Brenda

Brenda here sharing my take on this month's Hand Cut Words Challenge.   Well, Groovy Deb through a curve ball at me with this challenge!   LOL  Nowadays I can only write one or two words at a time without my writing taking a twist or turn.  I have to say I struggled with this challenge because I like things nice, even and straight, so I had to come up with just ONE WORD to cut out.  I practice on various words and names until I was able to get it just "WRITE" :)!

I really wanted hand cut my title but the bigger I printed the harder it was to keep straight, so I settled for just adding my great-nephews name to my embellishment cluster.  So for all of you who are afraid or not sure how you will like what you come up with for this challenge....start small and go from there.

The IIG DT members have done and awesome job with this challenge and would love to see what you come up with!

Vist my blog for details on the products and to see the sketch I used to create this page:  granddivasscrappyplace.blogspot.com

  1. I think you did a FAB job on your handwriting!! I struggled with it too but it is worth it! It is so special to have a part of you in the layout with your own handwriting. LOVE the hexagons too! :)

  4. My writing changes every time I pick up a pen, so I understand your frustration, however...

THAT WRITTING IS AWESOME! Your use of a calligraphy pen is pure perfection and it adds a wonderful touch to your layout!

  6. Great layout! Really love the hexagons and negative space! I have yet to try hexagons on any of my projects yet...but it's on my "to-do" list! I like the way you incorporated the challenge into your layout!
