Here is a little more about Nicole too...

Hello there,

My name is Nicole K and I live near Akron, Ohio with a boyfriend, two cats and a dog. Born in Southern California, I moved to Ohio when I was almost eight and have been here ever since. I don’t like the winters, but icy roads mean I stay inside and create!

I started at my current job as a web designer, but have moved on to the economic side of the business—which has caused me to spend more time experimenting with my style and new products. When I’m not creating, or working, I’m usually reading or writing or playing ‘The Sims 3.’

I’ve been focusing on creating mixed media art and cards since 2002, I started officially scrapping last summer (2008). I’m really drawn to cards lately. I’ve realized that I’ve always liked to color and stamp, and I love that making cards allows me to do this (granted, the Copics I love are a bit more expensive than the Prang or Crayola crayons I used to use).

How many times did we all hear "If you keep making that face it will stick?" I laugh out loud when I hear that phrase! So, I asked members of the DT what makes them LOL and hear are some of the comments I heard along with some more of their layouts for inspiration in case you have not completed and sent in your Funny Face layout. Oh! I am showing mine today too, hope my face doesn't stick!

Stop Making Those Faces! No Don't!

Have you ever had one of your children stick their tongue out at you? Roll their eyes? Make a face like they think they know everything? Or that you couldn't possibly know more than them? Don't you just wish you had a camera at that moment? LOL!!! If we try to see the fun in one of those mood altering moments maybe we would feel better. I don't know, but next time I think I will ask my kids to hold that pose!!! Let's check in with a few DT members and see the Funny Faces they scrapped up close. If you are like me then school pictures are a must! With the school photo just around the corner I can see a project like this one would be awesome for those sweet little wallet size pics that come with the packages. This was created by our new Lead Alter Artist Kristin. I ♥ this SO much that I want to see if you too can create one using Kristin's as inspiration. If you have not found any time to scrap lately and you just need some scrap time why not try a mini project? Usually they can be less time consuming and our Lead Mini Artist, Ange, has given us a new project to get our small project mojo on.
