Today marks 55 years since my parents were married. That is almost unheard of these days! I am proud to wish them a Happy Anniversary and many wishes for many more years together. As our family goes through some trials right now with my mom we must look back and remember that without these Christian, loyal, guiding parents that we would possibly never know to turn to God for our patience. So with that said I leave you today with a scripture that I find fitting a lot lately:
Isaiah 40:31
Yet those who wait for the LORD Will gain new strength; They will mount up with wings like eagles, They will run and not get tired, They will walk and not become weary.

Good Riddance Rubber Stamps
This is a mere portion of my rubber stamps that were sold the other day...I was so shocked when I counted the two lots that I sold and had almost 500! What?!?! I kept 5! My craft room is well on it's way to a new look! Do you have more stamps than I had? So curious!!!

Soccer Mom Shares A Story
Wait until you see Michelle's sweet little soccer star!
Deb♥
My girl in her new soccer gear for Newfoundland. We were heading over to my Parent's house for dinner after just getting our girl's new soccer gear. My Brother-In-Law got her signed up for us, since we would be arriving after sign ups. Our girl (Becky) was so excited. She wanted to wear the gear to my Parent's. We got there and the "Ooh's and Ahh's" were given! Then Grandma went to get her camera. Such a long wait for a 4 year old....which it did eventually turn out to be a long wait. Since Grandma's camera batteries were dead! The last picture she is sitting on the soccer ball saying, "Come on already!" But that's how I got to get the pictures of our girl being.....Becky!
For this layout I used only 3 full sheets of patterned paper and some white cardstock. Matted my photos; some separate and others grouped. Placed my two strips on the pages in a continuous line, but flipped the page over to add the Felt Soccer Ball Trim. I wanted to add something to the other side. So, using an old kids plastic stencil misted "my" Soccer Ball. FYI Secret Cover-up:Which ran into each other patches on the ball! BUT my checklist covered it beautifully. Added the other misted Soccer Ball, carefully this time! Added the title with foam pop dots and a few other little embellies! Complete with her personality showing through!

Slam into Summer Blog Hop Day 4
Welcome to Summer! If you are here in the USA then it is likely you have had some great Summer weather already and activities to go along with it! Over the next 4 days the team and I would like to show you how Summer is feeling for us and we hope you will stop by each day to show us what you think! For each comment you leave along the way each day, I will be adding up the totals and one lucky person will be receiving a prize package from me :)
Day FOUR has arrived! Hoping you have been having fun blog hopping through our Summer projects and memories!
For my project today I would like to show you a tag I made. This little dune buggy reminds me of my next door neighbors growing up. They had one right in the back yard and I often wondered where in the world did they drive it. We are two hours from the beach so not exactly a sandy city lol! If I had my way I would take that dune buggy and load it up with lots of cool girls and off to the beach we would go :) Here's to you visiting beautiful beaches this Summer!
Don't forget to head on over to see what Jean has for you today :)

Day three has arrived! Hoping that you are having remarkable weather where you are and just soaking up the beautiful sunshine!
For my project today I would like to share something about Summer that I LOVE and that is TRAVEL!!! There is nothing like getting a great shot while at the beach so today I thought I would share a picture that helps me relax, just like I was doing while exploring the property around the Ritz Carlton in Grand Cayman. The sand was so white and soft, the water clear and such a beautiful color. Ahhhhh I am being transported now!
LOVE that place! Enjoy your travels this Summer!

Now on to my second favorite Summer layout...My girls and I look so forward to the pool opening each Summer and so I was there and ready at the end of May when that day came. Going off the diving boards is an absolute must and a pretzel with cheese....gotta have it :)
To add to the fun of my pool photos I did some embossing on chipboard which became the frame around the girls, used some of my favorite tools by Fiskars, and one of my all-time favorite girly stickers made by Fancy Pants.
OK, your next step on this blog hop is back over to see Jean. Enjoy!

Now on to my favorite Summer layout...so far ;)
My family and I LOVE looking forward to Summer strawberry picking which really occurs in Spring but the weather is more like Summer so here ya go! I like candid shots so I was able to get those of my dad talking to Katelyn and Kristen out there picking, but since it was sort of far away I encircled it with the buttons. I also thought because the strawberry embellishment was crimped that it would be a good time to do some crimping with my Fiskars crimper and used it after printing my title with the Cricut. Fun stuff!
Time to head over to the next happy Summer blog hopper ;) Here is the way to see... Jean!
Thanks for coming, see you tomorrow! Deb♥

Homecoming
For the last 2 months I have been participating in a challenge over at the Scrap Our Stash Challenge blog, having fun too! Last month the blog mom called her challenge "May I" where we found a layout on another blog, left them some luv and showed how we were inspired because of that project. Here is what I came up with for that one:
and said this:
"I visited the blog known as 2 Kids and Some Paper where I found a really great layout that really caught my eye. See if you like it as much as I do :) I chose to Deborahfy it a bit by adding a few extras in spots that called out to me and chose to create an all about me page talking about my love of color :)"
Great challenge and I had fun with it!
This month the challenge is called Homecoming. It is up to you how you interpret this so I made this one:
and said this:
"For the HOMECOMING challenge I know exactly what I wanted to do! My daughter is at home on stage as a dancer and when it came time for recital she was pumped and ready to shine on stage. I made this layout to represent her favorite home place."

Visiting with Shannon
Over at the Scrapping Stamper this month the June sketch has been revealed and each of the DT members who could participate this month have shown their takes. Want to see mine? Here it is...my little darling with her dance instructor. Fun layout to make and I once again enjoyed the colors I was able to work with. That's one of my favorite things about scrapbooking! Go over and visit Shannon's place here to see other takes on this sketch :) Have a good day! Deb♥

Happy Father's Day...From Michelle :)
I had fun with this one! Since I had wanted to make this for Valentine's Day I think I saw the idea on Pintrest but tweaked it to fit our needs in my house. As much as, many Mom know Dad's bring a different element into things. For Example: In our house we are fine all day...my kids/dogs pretty much know my limit. So, when Dad comes home they seem to attack him.
Yup, Good Guy is home to save the day!
Anyway, either way "We're all HOOKED on" him!
Using the store bought clear smaller paint can. I got mine at Michael's.
I cut out a star-burst shadow and inked the edges with blue ink.
Added some of my Jolee's Fishing dimensional stickers to the star-burst and attached to the top of the can.
Stamped out my saying and then using the Woodgrain Embossing Folder ran it through the Cuttlebug. Inked the piece up a bit. Poked a hole to get the bottom of my fishing poles to stay put. I added a mini GlueDot to the top and attached it all together. Added my fishing hat to the corner!

Faithbooking Proverbs 22:1
An important part of scrapbooking for me is to document my values. It is so easy to just add something with special meaning to a layout and keep for a legacy to my children. This layout was made after attending a Powwow and I thought Proverbs 22:1 was the perfect verse to add. It reads "A good reputation, based upon what a person is in his dealings with others, is certainly of greater worth in God's eyes than wealth." I am in touch with my Native American ancestry and in my opinion a good reputation and character is a necessity, so this was a good choice I thought!

Save that!
How far will 50 cents go today? Not very huh? I think when we want to continue with our hobby that we need to make sure we think creatively in our spending as well. Penny has done that with this project!

When I made this card, I used a trick I have been using for years! The car photo was actually cut from a small monthly calendar! Sometimes it can be hard to find good men's images for cards, but you can find GREAT men's images from these small calenders, and this calender only cost me .50. So for .50 I have at least 12 car images. (usually its more than that because you can use the images on the cover and the back of the calender as well) I have found these also with images of tractors, boats, travel theme, dog, cats, flowers etc... They are probably not acid free but this has no worry for me since it's used on a card instead on in my scrapbook.
Supplies for this card include:
Maroon and white cardstock
Fiskars border punch
Maroon ribbon
Hello sticker - this is on the inside
Quote sticker on front - this was a "super old" part of my stash and was a photo corner sticker, but I cut it, put in it back together in a straight line and used it that way instead.
Calendar image - Mine were were purchased at Dollar General.

The Big 40 Looks Good!
Another great card from Heather with the cutest dig stamps!

Isn't she fun!!! A Bugaboo digital stamp, she is perfect for a birthday card for a girlfriend or for even a guy! I colored her with my Copics! But to make the cupcake frosting look like frosting . . . I used some liquid applique and then a heat gun to puff it up!

All in White: Jean
I chose to scrap the newspaper announcement from our wedding. Actually this is a photo copy of the original which is from 1975!! Yes - in a month we will have been married for 37 years. For this challenge, I used white flowers but I stamped some of the layers with a script stamp. I painted the Maya Road wood element white and also stamped that. I wove trim and pearls among the flowers and used netting for bows. White glittery letters were perfect for the title. Doing all white is not as difficult as you think! Give it a try!

All in White: Heather
All White? Sure, no problem, I can do that! Wow, that ended up being a lot harder than I thought!
I instantly thought of this picture that I took last November. It was our first snowfall of Winter 2011 and the ice and snow just seemed to cling to our fence. I thought it was pretty cool looking so decided to take a picture of it. When this challenge came up, I went straight to this pic.
I wanted to show some dimension in this layout. I cut the scalloped circle and then inked the edges just a hint with some light gray so that it would stand out. I also glimmer misted the background paper with pearl Glimmer Mist though it is hard to see in this picture. I attached the circle with brads (and of course some adhesive in the back!) I ran a strip of scrap white paper through the Fiskars paper crimper, again to add some texture and dimension to the layout. Some lace, some white ribbon, white flowers, white buttons, pearls and a few diecut snowflakes that I also glimmer misted to embellish. (Sorry that they look cream colored in this picture.) I finished it off with some American Crafts glitter Thickers for the title.

All in White: Michelle
I created this page using a bunch of different paper textures. White Cardstock as my background and my border punches, Glitter paper, Translucent Vellum & Mulberry Paper. For my border punches I used:
Doily Lace Edge Punch
Frosty Village Edge Punch
Halloween Punch Around The Page Set Cracks
Arch Lattice Edge Punch
I torn the edges of the Mulberry and Vellum papers. Then layered all of the papers. Starting from the bottom with the Glitter Paper and then going up with the Mulberry and Translucent Vellum. Tucked my pictures in to give the snow drift effect. Went back and added the Lattice Border and tied knots in the White Bridal Tulle before attaching with Glue Dots. On the Frosty Village Border I added Liquid Applique. Which goes on like glue and if you heat it puffs up, for that snow covered roof effect. Since there was a bunch of power/phone lines running through the barn photo. I added some white rub-ons to that picture. Using the negative pieces (that remain from your punches)from the Cracks Corner and Edge punches. I attached them directly to the edge of my photo.
Attached my chipboard Snowflake, which I added some Prism Glitter to. Added the title "Ski" using the Glittered Chipboard Letters and "trip" my Liquid Applique(heated)
Since this is the first page of the Ski Trip I wanted to show the scenes from our trip to the Mountain! This was back in 1994, my 1st Ski Trip and Last! I am more of a snowman building, sledding, tubing, watching and picture taking type of girl!

All in White: Penny
This challenge was indeed a challenge! I had never tried to make an all white layout before, and this one put me to the test! I took this photo of my granddaughter Madison quite some time ago, just waiting on the right layout to use it on, and it seemed to fit perfectly with this theme. I ended up making almost all of my embellishments for this challenge just because most of the "all white" embellishments that I had, ended up having some other colors on them even if they were just in small amounts. For the flowers I used mainly McGill punches, Versa Mark ink, and glitter, with an assortment of brads and sequins, to hold them in place. To give this layout added texture I used mulberry paper, and various edged scissors on an assortment of paper strips. The bows on this layout were pre-made.
The dress I free hand drew, and then I pleated torn paper to give it a ruffled effect, then I added the lace, and sequins. I also added a piece of vellum which I had stamped images on, with white ink.
I wasn't prepared for the hardest part of this challenge however and that was in taking the photo of an all white page! After several failed attempts I finally had to take it outside to get a decent shot and even then the name portion of this layout, which I used bling on, didn't quite show up as well as I'd wished it would have. Good luck on your own "white" layout, I think I may try another one soon. Happy Scrapping! Love Penny
Supplies:
Flower punches - McGill
Ink - Versa Mark, and Studio G
Glitter - Studio G
Sequins - Unknown, flea market find
Brads - Recollections, and assorted.
Scissors - Fiskars
Wilton - bows, and leaves.
Small scraps of assorted lace.
Mulberry paper
Title - I'll have to research this a bit, I think it's from Mambi however.
Vellum - Unknown
Stamps - Still looking for MFG. name on these.

If It's Groovy June Challenge by Groovy Deb♥
This month I have challenged the Groovy Chicks to put their spin on an all white layout. I was thinking about June brides in white when this came to me, but did not ask for wedding layouts in particular, but instead to just go as far as possible with white. I hope you will enjoy as we each show what we came up with over the next few days! It is harder than it seems and I know that because I always do the same challenges, lol! Here is mine with all the white I could add :) The only color comes in from me and Baby Katelyn back when she was only a month old. I did use a gray gel pen to outline the white in order for it to show up on camera. I used spray adhesive and added the fun fur behind the layout hoping to give it a softer feel like a baby blanket.
Come play with us! We really want to see what you can do with this trying challenge!
